(Back to Cerri Lee's Homepage)

This seems
very forward we've only just met and I'm about to tell you all about myself,
is that okay with you? Oh well if your sure, here we go.
As you can see my name is Cerri, I am an Aries with Virgo Moon and Pisces rising,
born in 1962 near London, of Greek Cypriot (father), Irish and Anglo-Saxon (Mother)
extraction, five feet high and weigh too much. You only get one photo of me
and that was taken two years ago in 2000, as it is the only one I like.
I love music of most kinds Mozart to Marilyn Manson, although at the risk of
alienating some, improv jazz is an anathema to me! I love all Art forms, but
I think the Turner prize is a pretentious nonsense.
Monty Python and Eddie Izzard for comedy, Shakespeare, J.R.R. Tolkien, Terry
Pratchett and Neil Gaiman writers, Bladerunner, Matrix, and Lord of the Rings,
these are a few of my favourite things.
I have a deep and abiding love of the Earth and all that lives on her, I believe
in Faerie and a multitude of things just beyond our perception. I have had experiences
that I cannot explain both terrifying, awesome and wonderful. I have watched
the magic of the Sun rise on the sacred hills of this land on the Summer Solstice,
sat in the remains of our ancestors homes and celebration places, stood in ceremonies
within the Hanging Stones on Salisbury plain. My soul is seeking something and
when I find it the journey will be done, until then I journey on chasing the
brief glimpses that glint and dance in the future.
Who am I
.what am I ? I am not sure how to describe myself really, lets
find a nice label there must be one somewhere in the catalogue
..Artist
,hmm maybe I have explored the world of art for many years in many and various
forms, it is a constant source of pain and pleasure. I love working with many
mediums from oils to clay and everything in between some of it is here for you
to look at. I have sold quite a bit of stuff over the years, commission work
mainly. I think that my best work is in pencil sketching and sculpture and next
year I am going to invest in a Kiln to fire my own work. My work these days
is taking on a new dimension, I have a need to express some of the things I
have learned on my journey through my spirituality. Watch this space!
Could I be a Poet? Not really, see for your self a few of the poems I have written
are on the site, it either tends to be of the tortured variety, I call it my
P.M.S. poetry (premenstrual syndrome ) or of things that really poke my emotional
imaginings about the land.
Maybe I am a Healer! I am 3rd degree Reiki attuned, and have had quite a bit
of experience over the past 10 years or so working with the universal energies.
I work with Tarot, Runes and other oracles, have done lots of work with crystals,
trained to some degree in Holistic massage, lots of different kinds of meditations,
sound work, animal energies particularly birds, tree energies and divination,
God and Goddess energies, all of which has been used for the healing work
..but
no that is not a comfortable label.
I am a Mother, I have three great kids Laura, David and Rosalie all teenagers,
who think I am totally off my trolley and a bit embarrassing, but not boring.
Phew! Can't think of anything worse than being boring! But that is still not
my label.
I work with my partner Damh as an administrator for the Druid order we belong
to The Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids. I am the Grove Mother of our Grove,
which consists of a bunch of Fabulous and dedicated spiritual people, really
committed to their paths, and also I co-facilitate the Anderida Gorseddau, you
can see some of the things we get up to else where on the site. I have taken
the role of Celebrant both with Damh and on my own for Handfastings, Baby Blessings,
Passing Over ceremonies. I have facilitated a Weekend Gathering of members of
OBOD in the Netherlands on the subject of Serpent power, which was a wonderful
experience. Both Damh and I have given quite a few talks and workshops on Poetry,
energy work and Druidry around the country and abroad, along with going to conferences
to represent the Order and talk to people about what Druidry is about today,
so maybe I should call myself a Druid and have done with it!
And I love gardening too!
I am studying Garden Design at the moment with a view to working with all of
the things I love, creating spiritual places for people to be in. Hopefully
that will include some of my artwork too.
In truth I don't think I want a label that will confine me to a box, it does
not suit me I am claustrophobic! You make up your own mind,
